Free childcare

What is free early childhood education?

Free early childhood education is a system that waives fees for education and childcare that are incurred when using kindergartens, licensed nursery schools, certified child care centers, etc. that are designated as places of education and childcare.
It has been implemented nationwide from October 1, 2019.
One of the major objectives of making tuition free of charge is to address the issue of the declining birthrate and aging population.
There is a problem in which the younger generation is unable to have the ideal number of children due to the cost of raising and educating children. Therefore, we aimed to reduce the burden of raising children by making early childhood education free of charge.
